First Snow + Comradeship

Old man winter is here, and her name is Athena.

While most of us in the New York City area were unharmed by little miss Sandy, there are many still dealing with the devastating effects.  And today, along comes winter storm Athena. Donations, which are still very much needed, can be made to the RED CROSS disaster relief fund.

Not only does the American Red Cross serve humanity, but they also have one of the most beautiful logos of all time.  Designed by Henri Durant in 1863, the logo serves as a symbol of protection. Their vintage ads are lovely examples of Americana, but more so remind me of the good in people.
